How to get to Stintino and La Pelosa from Alghero Airport.
From Alghero Airport to Stintino it is about 49 km, about 48 minuti by road when traffic flows; La Pelosa beach lies just past the village, about 52 km from the terminal. The train is not an option: neither the airport nor Stintino has a station. A direct bus exists, but in summer only: in 2026 the Sardabus line leaves the airport 5 times a day from 1 June to 30 September, and the ticket to Stintino is 3.70 EUR. In the other months it takes two buses with a change in Sassari: ARST line 760, then line 727. The option with no timetable and no change is a private transfer: with RSA Travel&Transfer, an NCC based in Sassari, the driver is in the arrivals hall and you pay a fixed price per vehicle, 100 EUR by Standard Sedan and 160 by Standard Van for up to 8 people. One more thing to know before you leave: La Pelosa is entered by booking only, in 2026 from 15 May to 15 October, at 3.50 EUR per person. Each option follows, with timetables and prices as verified in October 2026.

| ARST buses 760 + 727, changing in Sassari (all year) | two tickets per person, a few euros each | 30 minutes to Sassari, then 74 minutes to Stintino, plus the wait between the two; on weekdays two connections work | Stintino or La Pelosa, at the bus stop |

In summer there is a direct bus: Sardabus
The Sardabus line Alghero - Fertilia Airport - Stintino is the only direct link, and it is seasonal: in 2026 it runs from 1 June to 30 September, public holidays included. It leaves the airport at 09:16, 11:46, 14:21, 16:41 and 20:21, reaching Stintino (Via Sassari) after about 51 minutes and La Pelosa after 59. Coming back, it leaves La Pelosa at 07:30, 10:00, 12:05, 14:05 and 18:15 and takes about an hour to the terminal. Between the airport and Stintino the ticket is 3.70 EUR: you buy it on board, in cash or by card, or in the Teseo Sardegna app. Land after 20:21 and there is no bus left that day.
Alghero AirportOctober to May: two buses and a change in Sassari
Outside those dates there is no direct bus. From the terminal you take ARST line 760, which reaches the Sassari bus station in Via Padre Zirano in 30 minutes; from there ARST line 727 goes on to Porto Torres, Stintino and La Pelosa: 74 minutes to Stintino, 79 to the beach. On weekdays the 727 leaves Sassari at 05:00, 05:50, 08:30, 14:35 and 18:45, on Sundays at 05:50 and 14:10. The first airport bus leaves at 08:50 and arrives once the 08:30 has gone: in practice you are left with the early-afternoon departure and the evening one, and the wait in Sassari can run to hours. ARST tickets cost a few euros, and ARST has a ticket office inside the terminal.
SassariLa Pelosa in 2026: entry by booking
From 15 May to 15 October 2026 access to La Pelosa beach is capped: 1,500 people a day, 3.50 EUR per person per day. One booking covers up to 4 people, and children under 12 do not need one. 500 places can be booked at any time during the season; the other 1,000 go online two days ahead, at 09:00. At the entrance you show the QR code, checked from 08:00 to 18:00. The only site authorised to sell access is spiaggialapelosa.it: the driver takes you as far as the access point, while the entry is yours to book and is not part of the transfer. For the following season, check dates and rules on the same site.
StintinoBy private transfer from the airport to Stintino, fixed price
When you book you give the flight number: the driver checks the landing time and waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Stintino is about 49 km and about 48 minuti away; in summer the road to the village is slower, so allow a few extra minutes. The price is per vehicle and stays as booked: 100 EUR by Standard Sedan and 130 by Comfort Sedan, for 1-3 people with 3 suitcases; 160 by Standard Van and 190 by Premium Van, for up to 8 people. If you want to go straight to La Pelosa, the trip to the beach access point is 100 EUR by Standard Sedan and 160 by Standard Van.
Alghero → StintinoWith a rental car
Car rental is at the airport and makes sense if you want a different beach and a different village every day. The bill includes collecting and returning the car, fuel and parking; and a car does not spare you the La Pelosa booking, which applies to everyone who steps onto the beach. Parking fees and rules near the beach are not quoted here: check them on the Stintino town council website before you travel. Travellers who stay in the village and walk to the sea can do without a car: two transfers, on arrival and on departure, and to see more, a half day or a whole day with the driver at your disposal, with the stops decided by you.
From Porto Torres, from Sassari, and back to the airport
If you arrive by ferry, Porto Torres port to Stintino is about 29 km and about 31 minuti: 55 EUR by Standard Sedan, 75 by Standard Van. Put the ferry company and the ship in the form, because ferries at Porto Torres dock in two different areas of the port. From Sassari to Stintino it is about 46 km: 100 EUR by Standard Sedan. For the way back, Stintino to Alghero Airport is 100 EUR by Standard Sedan and 160 by Standard Van: add your flight departure time in the notes.
Porto Torres → StintinoWhat does a transfer from Alghero to Stintino cost?
From Alghero Airport to Stintino a private transfer costs 100 EUR by Standard Sedan and 130 by Comfort Sedan (1-3 people), 160 by Standard Van and 190 by Premium Van (up to 8 people). To the La Pelosa access point: 100 and 160 EUR. That is the price of the vehicle, not of each passenger, and it covers fuel and luggage: one suitcase plus one piece of hand luggage for each traveller. Put plainly: if you travel alone or as a couple between June and September and your flight lands in time for one of the 5 departures, the Sardabus at 3.70 EUR is the lowest-cost choice. The transfer makes sense when there are three or more of you sharing the price, when you have suitcases and children, when you land in the evening, and from October to May, when the alternative is two buses and a long wait in Sassari. Up to 24 hours before you can cancel at no cost; you pay on board once the trip is over, in cash or by card.
The dates to note
In 2026 the Sardabus from the airport runs from 1 June to 30 September; booking for La Pelosa is compulsory from 15 May to 15 October. That leaves two uncovered periods, 15 to 31 May and 1 to 15 October: the beach is already (or still) on booking, but there is no direct bus. ARST lines 760 and 727 run all year; in July the 727 has one departure fewer on weekdays. Taxis are available too, at the rank outside the terminal, but on the meter: no fixed fare to Stintino appears to be published, so you will find no figures here. The transfer price is shown in the form and locked when you book; online booking closes 24 hours before.
